A super-poopa Betfair Newmarket Open Weekend

Children attending the first day of the inaugural Betfair Newmarket Open Weekend this Saturday are being invited to play Poo Bingo at the Parade Ring before each race.

To play, you will need to collect number at random, between one and ten, at the Rowley’s Kids Club after they arrive at the racecourse. After collecting your number, make your way over to the Parade Ring ahead of each race and if a horse poo’s in your square – which will be marked out and numbered one to ten in the paddock where horses circle before their races – then POO BINGO you win a prize!

The game will begin ahead of the first race when horses enter the Parade Ring at approximately 1.45pm following the parade of the Newmarket based Investec Derby first, second and third placed horses, Golden Horn, Jack Hobbs and Storm The Stars.

If you miss a round, don’t worry! Full results will be available at Rowley’s Kids Club. By keeping the same number all day it means you could win an array of prizes throughout the afternoon, so make sure you keep checking what the results are.

There is lots of other free entertainment throughout the afternoon including a petting zoo, face painters and demonstrations from horse whisperer Gary Witheford and much more. The first day of the new Food and Drink Festival will be open to racegoers too.

As part of the Betfair Newmarket Open Weekend, seven Newmarket racehorse trainers will become racecourse commentators to raise funds for the National Horseracing Museum, Racing Welfare and Magpas: The Emergency Medical Charity. Donations can be made at www.justgiving.com/teams/NOW2015.
