Buskers’ showcases hit the streets this Saturday

Every Saturday in the lead up to the 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend, Buskers will be exhibiting their talents around the town in a series of showcases. The showcases will take place from 11am-2pm at a variety of locations around Newmarket including; the Bill Tutte Memorial, The Guineas Shopping Centre and outside Greggs on Newmarket’s high street.

The first showcase will take place this Saturday, 5^th August, and will feature the Newmarket Community Choir, a Newmarket based choir open to all ages, Ashby Street, four Newmarket based brothers, and Peter Hepworth, an acoustic local singer.

The showcases will conclude when each busker takes part in the Open Weekend buskers competition on Saturday 16^th and Sunday 17^th of September. Each competitor will be in with a chance of winning £1000, but the outcome will be at the hand of the public votes.
