Racing Welfare has also proved invaluable to many individuals in the the industry, offering essential services and support for racing staff through the pandemic.
Newmarket Pony Academy
The newly formed Newmarket Pony Academy (NPA) will give young people in and around Newmarket the opportunity and benefits of close contact with horses and ponies.
Despite being the headquarters of racing, Newmarket does not currently provide an opportunity for its young people to learn to ride unless they are fortunate enough to have family involvement. The NPA seeks to change this.
The Henry Cecil Open Weekend 2021 will also be supporting a new community project. More information soon to be announced.
The Henry Cecil Open Weekend has previously supported; British Racing School, National Horse Racing Museum, IJF, Magpas, East Anglia Air Ambulance, Newmarket Day Centre, Newmarket Racing Centre, amongst others.
