Food & Drink Festival schedule announced!

As we get set for the return of the Newmarket Food & Drink Festival this weekend, we’ve got a list of who will be giving cooking demonstrations and wine tips at the G’s Fresh Cookery Live Kitchen! Join celebrity and local chefs from 11am on both days for top tips and recipes for all.

All demonstrations will take place in the King’s Yard at Palace House, adjacent to the Food & Drink Festival stalls which line Palace Street.

Saturday

10am – Newmarket Food & Drink Festival 2017 opens! Find exhibitors and producers across Palace Street and The Guineas

11am – Nick Claxton-Webb, Head Chef at soon to be opened, Weeping Willow pub, Barrow

Newmarket Buskers’ Competition finals to start. Buskers can be seen at the Bill Tutte Memorial, outside Greggs on the High Street and The Guineas

12pm – Sophie Grigson, Top British chef, food and travel writer showcases her hearty, healthy cooking tips!

13pm – Jamie Mountford, Sous chef @ Bedford Lodge Hotel and Spa, MasterChef contestant 2016. Radio Cambridge 105 Drive time chef

14pm – Sophie Grigson shows some of her best techniques with top cooking demonstrations

15pm – Ann Hood, Owner, The Smart School of Cookery & MasterChef contestant 2009

16pm – Newmarket Food & Drink Festival Buskers’ Competition closes – join us tomorrow for the final

16.30pm – Newmarket Food & Drink Festival 2017 closes for the day, but will return on Sunday

Sunday

11am – Vincent Woolley, The Tack Room, Newmarket

11.45am – Theo Randall, celebrity chef and chef patron of Theo Randall at the InterContinental, will demonstrate two dishes

12.30pm – Oz Clarke joins Theo to present wines he has paired with Theo’s dishes

13pm – “Tips from the Top” – wine expert Oz Clarke showcases some of his favourite wines

14pm – Theo Randall will demonstrate a further two dishes

14.45pm – Oz Clarke joins Theo to present more wines he has paired with Theo’s dishes

15pm – Jerome Viard, Pastry Chef , The Tamburlaine Hotel, Cambridge

16pm – Newmarket Food & Drink Festival Buskers’ Competition winner is unveiled and performs to fans.

16.30pm – Newmarket Food & Drink Festival 2017 comes to an end, we will be returning for 2018!
