Newmarket Open Weekend Dog Show

Horses aren’t the only four-legged animal to be featured at the 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend, there’s a dedicated event for your canine pals. Entries for the Open Weekend ‘Fun Dog Show’ cost £2 per dog, and with a range of classes, there is something for every man’s best friend, from waggiest tail to best rescue, or even handsomest dog and prettiest bitch!

If your dog is the apple of your eye, come down to the Severals on Sunday afternoon, 17^th September, and put your pooch to the test. Judge Jason Weaver, of ITV Racing and At The Races, will be casting his expert eye over this year’s stock and will be sure to provide entertainment for you and all the family.

The full class list is as follows:

1. Any variety puppy from 4 months to 12 months
2. Under 15 inches
3. Over 15 inches
4. Racing staff & their dog
5. Trainer & their dog
6. Prettiest bitch
7. Handsomest dog
8. Best rescue
9. Waggiest tail

***Please note that dogs will not be permitted in trainers’ yards or into equine sites open during the Open Weekend.  We welcome all local residents and their dogs to get involved!
