The National Stud is the showcase for British Thoroughbred breeding. It has been owned by the Jockey Club since 2008. It comprises over 500 acres of prime pastureland on the edge of Newmarket. Its facilities include accomodation for eight stallions and up to 200 mares in nine seperate yards.
The National Stud will be operating escorted bus tours during the open weekend, these are free of charge for holders of open weekend wristlets.

Tours of the Jockey Club Rooms are available to all NOW visitors for £5pp. Each tour will last approximately one hour and will explore the fascinating history of Newmarket, British racing and the Jockey Club. The Jockey Club Rooms is home to a stunning collection of British sporting art and historic racing memorabilia – a must see for any racing fan.
Jockey Club Rooms will not be taking any advance reservations, ALL tours, will be conducted on a First Come First Served Basis.
